HYPNOTHERAPY AND ETHNO PSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA
Translife Centre/Ethnomedicine Institute and the International Holistic Life Coaching Association early members were the pioneers of Hypnotherapy and Holistic Life Coaching in South Africa.
The International Holistic Life Coaching Association was formed in 2002 by Mervyn & Trudie Bartholomew under the name of Translife Centre, and later evolved into the Hypnotherapy and Ethno Psychology Association of South Africa (HEPASA).
HEPASA was registered specifically to support its members by supplying opportunities for exchanges of information, peer group supervision and lectures.
Over the years the Translife Centre has gained wide recognition for the expertise and ethical standards it has maintained in the field of Ethnopsychology, Ethnomedicine, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, and Metaphysics.. The Association has set a high standard of proficiency and only skilled therapists of high integrity, using approved techniques, are accepted as members.
Its aim as an Association is to provide continuing empirical leadership in the field of Hypnotherapy, Ethnopsychology, Life Coaching & Metaphysical studies to practicing Ethnomedicine Practioners, for accreditation with the Ethnomedicine Practitioners Association of South African (EPASA) under the Ethnomedicine Professions Board of South Africa (SAEPB), and the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (USA).
The Association is an inaugural member of and aligned under EPASA (Ethnomedinine Practitioners Association of South Africa) / SAEPB, a National Peak body that represents the interests of the large number of Ethnomedicine Practitioners working throughout South Africa. Translife/Ethnomedicine Institute courses are accredited for registration with EPASA, as we are subject matter experts in this exciting new field in South Africa. It includes a deep understanding of Trance-State Therapy combined with Ethnomedicine techinques under the African Philosophy of Healing.
We teach the Hypnotherapy curriculum of the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA - USA). Registration with HEPASA is open to Psychologists who are registered under the Health Professions Council of SA, Ethnopsychologists, EPP, registeres with EPASA (Ethnomedicine Practitioners Association of South Africa), and other members working in countries outside of South Africa.
Completion of the Trance-State Modules alone does not qualify any person to work in South Africa, but will open the door to provisional registration with EPASA. The balance of the modules can be completed over weekends, where possible as they are presented, and paid as you attend.
